Body Found In Search For Missing Junior Doctor

A body has been found in the search for missing junior doctor, Rose Polge, from Devon.

The 25 year old went missing from Torquay in February and she hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Officers think a female body that was recovered from the sea east of Portland Headland, Dorset, on 1st April is that of the missing junior doctor.

Devon and Cornwall Police are working with Dorset Police and the Coroner's Office and are awaiting the results of the formal identification.

Rose's family and boyfriend said: "We appreciate the continued love and support that we have been receiving. We do understand the reasons for the media interest, however, we would like to ask the press for privacy following this tragic news and while we await confirmation of identification."
