Praise for Hospital Car Park

The car park at North Devon District Hospital's been rated second in the UK.

Consumer watchdog Which? has put together a table of all hospital car parks in the country, judging them on things like the number of priority spaces and ways to pay.

It's after research showed parking made hospital visits more stressful for 49% of people.

Ian Roy from Northern Devon Healthcare Trust said: "We ensure that we have a sufficient number of spaces, also that the car park is secure and we've also tried to make them as cost effective as possible."

The ratings were given against criteria based on capacity, convenience of payment methods, frequency and type of penalties, charging structure and profits and communication with patients.
