The Forest of Marston Vale has made it through to the final 10 of a nationwide search for Britain's best environmental projects.

Now the Forest Centre and Millennium Country Park project at Marston Moretaine needs your help to make it to the last three.

Because of its work transforming an industrial landscape into a vast haven for woodlands and wildlife, it’s made it through to the semi finals of the National Lottery’s ‘Best Environment Project’. It’s the only environmental project to get this far from across the whole East of England.  If it makes it to the final 3 it'll gain national exposure on TV.

If it gets that far, a further public vote will decide who wins the £2000 cash prize to spend on the project.

Tony Talbot of the Marston Vale Trust said: “We’re really hoping the public get behind us and votes… If we win, then we hope to use the cash prize to produce activity sheets and information for families and schools to use when visiting the Park.”
