Crash Kills 22 Year Old

A 22 year old woman's died and an 18 year old woman's seriously ill after a car crash at Godmanchester near Huntingdon.

The two - both from Soham, Cambridgeshire - were in a Ford Ka that was involved in a crash with a Volkswagen Golf on the A1198 close to the Woodgreen Animal Shelter at 9pm on Thursday 7 June 2012.

The 18 year old was driving the Ford Ka, and has been taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.  Another 18 year old passenger from Soham suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Golf - a 19 year old man from Godmanchester - also suffered minor injuries and was treated at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon before being released.

Sergeant Steve Watson said: "I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision."
