Transport Secretary Says New Firm Will Design, Build And Operate Varsity Line
A cyclist's died after falling off during a Sunday afternoon bike ride through a Bedfordshire village.
It happened in Staploe, between Bedford and St Neots, at 5.50pm on Sunday 30 June 2013.
The man who lived in London, was riding with two friends along Bushmead Road.
One friend was ahead of him and the other was a short distance behind them when, for an unknown reason, he fell from his bike and landed on the road.
The emergency services were called but he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. His family have been informed.
A post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
