Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a Staffordshire bull terrier puppy was stolen during a burglary at a house in Kempston on Wednesday April 4.

The burglary took place sometime between 4.30pm and 6.30pm in Hastings Road, Kempston when the offender entered the property by breaking into the porch and then smashing a pane of glass in the front door. It appears that the raiders have gone straight to the dining room of the house and taken a tan coloured Staffordshire bull terrier, which had only just been bought by the home owner, before leaving the premises.

Detective Constable Andrew Boston who is investigating the burglary, said: “We would really like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone else who may have been offered the puppy or has any information – however small or insignificant they think it is – that could help us. Don’t dismiss your information as unimportant – even tiny details which don’t seem relevant now might become useful later on in the investigation.”

If you have information relating to this incident, contact DC Boston, in confidence, on 01234 275333, the non emergency number 101, or text information to 07786 200011.
