There’s only three days to go until the hosepipe ban is enforced throughout the Eastern region but Anglian Water are asking their customers to do even more.

They are asking customers to save 20 litres of water a day this summer.

They say this can be simply done by showering for two minutes less or not turning on the dishwasher when it’s only half full.

John Clare from Anglian Water says:

"A power shower is about 13 litres a minute and a standard shower is about 8 litres a minute so two minutes less could save about 16 litres"

The Everyone Drop 20 campaign, like the hosepipe ban, is a response to the drought in the area after a shortage of rainfall.

Anglian Water supply homes in Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, and in parts of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
