Teen attacked and robbed in Bedford

Police are appealing for witnesses after an 18 year old man was attacked and robbed in Shakespeare Road, Bedford last night (15 February) between 7.45pm and 8.10pm.

The teenager was walking along Shakespeare Road when his path was blocked by the offender who punched him in the face causing him to fall to the floor where he was hit again. The offender took the victim’s wallet before leaving the scene.
The victim suffered a split lip and facial injury.

The offender is described as a black man, dressed in black who had his face covered. 

Detective Sergeant Rowland Wallbank said: “This is a very serious assault and robbery. If someone was in the Shakespeare Road area between 7.45pm and 8.10pm and saw this attack or a man in black  in the area or where he went we would like to hear from them.”
