CCTV Image Released After Assault

Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following an assault in a Thames Valley nightclub.

Around 12.15am on Sunday 9th January, a 20-year-old man was assaulted on or near the dance floor in Jaxx nightclub in Fleet. The man was knocked unconscious and sustained a broken ankle, as well as swelling to his mouth and a grazed face.

Detectives have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to as part of their investigation.

Detective Constable Sue Champion, from Aldershot CID, said:

“The nightclub was busy at the time of the attack and there were lots of people around the dancefloor area who would have witnessed what happened. We believe the man who carried out this assault was with at least one friend at the time, and we urge them to contact us. I’d also ask anyone who recognises the man in the image to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information should contact Det Con Champion at Aldershot CID on 101, via the website at www.hampshire.police.uk/internet/contact/message_officer.htm or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
