A Reading soldier - shot dead in Afghanistan - laid to rest.
Twenty three year old Corporal Richard Green was killed while on patrol in Sangin Province with 3 Rifles Recce Platoon. He was shot dead by a gunman hiding in the shadows.
Before his death on March 2nd, Corporal Green told his family on a visit home "If anything happens to me, know that I've lived life to the full, have no regrets and love my job."
His parents Chris and Eileen described him as a "true legend" and said they wanted to "celebrate his life rather than mourn his death".
Corporal Green's military colleagues will join his family at a service at Reading Minster at 2pm.
