Robbed Man Left With Collapsed Lung

Police in North Hampshire want to speak to the man in this computer generated photo after an assault and robbery in Basingstoke.

At around 3am on Friday June 4th a 48-year-old man was walking along Packenham Road when he was approached by a group of four teenagers wearing hooded tops.

The teenagers assaulted the man and stole a watch from him and then ran off towards South Ham.

The man suffered a collapsed lung and fractured ribs following the attack.

PC Darrin Carey, of the Basingstoke Targeted Patrol Team, said:

“We have released the e-fit image in the hope that someone may recognise the person pictured.

“It was an unprovoked attack which left the victim with nasty injuries. If you recognise the teenager in the image please contact us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information about this should contact PC Carey at Basingstoke police station on 101 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
