Summer is almost here and if you can’t face one more sweaty spinning class, step outside and take a deep breath of fresh air… and sign up for the Simplyhealth Great Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday 17 September 2017.

The popular city centre event is back – The Simplyhealth Great Bristol half marathon returns in its second year as part of the Great run series. The event comes with its own distinguished history – first staged in 1989 and known as the Bristol Half Marathon, the city centre run has become a long-held tradition in the national running calendar.

The course starts and finishes in Bristol's historic Harbourside. The scenic, sea-level route takes runners past the Harbourside, out and back along the Portway, through the stunning Avon Gorge, twice under Brunel’s famous Clifton Suspension Bridge, along Cumberland Road then around the old city before returning to Anchor Road.

Whether you’re running to fundraise for a cause close to your heart, get fit, make new friends or conquer a personal challenge, do it at the Simplyhealth Great Bristol Half Marathon!

The event is not until September, so there is still plenty of time to sign up and train. Half of the entries have already been taken so sign up now to secure your place on the start line.
