Energy and Climate Change Minister in Bristol

Energy and Climate change minister Ed Milliband has been in Bristol today (fri).

He visited the Redland Park United Reformed Church which it's thought has the largest solar panel array in the city. The church make around a thousand pounds a year selling the energy generated by the panels back to the national grid.

Mr Milliband also said he thinks plans for a tidal barrage across the Severn Estuary are a realistic possibility. He told Heart's reporter Rob"I think it's got great potential, we've got a shortlist of designs and will be saying more in the next couple of months. We've got to look at all the clean energy alternatives availiable to us. It's an important potential source of energy for us, we do need to look at the environmental concerns that there are, but we do need to look at all the alternative sources of energy."
