How safe is your child's car seat?

Checks on children's car seats in one part of the Westcountry has found nearly HALF of children would not be safe in a crash.

Bath & North East Somerset council discovered that 43% of children were not secured safely and even more worryingly 1 in 5 of all seats checked had either major faiults or were incompatible.

It's all part of the national 'Good Egg' campaign designed to make sure that babies and children are properly restrained when travelling in a car, and showing parents and carers how to fit their car seats correctly.

A child is 3 times less likely to sustain a head injury in a collision than an unrestrained child.
