Safe playing for kids

Can you remember a time when you could run outside to play without having to dodge cars and lorries.

Well a special project is bringing car-free streets back to one part of the West Country.

The 'playing out' scheme been set up by two Bristol mums Alice Ferguson and Amy Rose to help other parents organise temporary road closures so kids can play safely after school.

The idea to get streets closed off for three hours, with stewards at each end, so children can play safely without the risk of traffic zooming by.
