Bristol: Cash Machine Theft

Police have arrested a man in connection with the theft of money from a cash machine in Bristol.

Officers were called to reports of a fire at the ATM in High Street, Shirehampton shortly after 2am this morning. 

They say cash had been taken from the machine by suspects who left the scene in two cars, one of the cars was later stopped and a 19-year-old man arrested, he remains in police custody. 

Police are appealing to anyone who might have been in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen suspicious activity or have information to help with their enquiries.
