Teenager sexually assaulted

Members of the public are being asked for help following a sexual assault that occurred in Bristol.

On Wednesday June 27th at around 12.25pm a teenage girl was walking home along the footpath that joins onto St Marks Road from Stapleton Road train station when a man approached her. He began to chat and flirt with her and asked for her phone number. When she refused he sexually assaulted her. As the victim ran away he began to shout abuse at her.

He had afro style hair which was short and neat, brown eyes, and was wearing a white long sleeved shirt, smart black trousers which had a label or ID badge made of hard plastic attached to his left trouser pocket.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or who may be able to identify this man is asked to call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 .
