Bristol: Man Dies After Collision With Car

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Bristol in which a pedestrian has died.

Scene of crime police tape

At around 9.30pm on Saturday evening a silver Vauxhall Astra was in collision with a man on Wilder Street.

The man, who was in his 50s, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.

An investigation into the collision has begun and there are road closures and a cordon in place to allow for inquiries to be made at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision to contact them.

It is thought people attending a nearby hostel may have witnessed the incident and we would appeal to them to come forward with any information they may have.

If you have information which could help the investigation, please call police via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101 quoting Wilder Street.
