Old Sodbury: Fatal Car Crash

A man's died after a fatal car crash in South Gloucestershire.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision on the Badminton Road at Old Sodbury in the early hours of Monday 2nd February.

A Ford Ka travelling from the A46 towards Old Sodbury collided with a Renault Trafic van coming in the opposite direction at 5.20am.  

The Ford driver, a 42-year-old man from Yate, was pronounced dead at the scene. The van driver, a 35-year-old man from Taunton, was not seriously hurt.

The collision led to road closures until 12.30pm.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference number CI-32/15
