WSM - Drugs Arrests Made
Police have arrested three people and seized what they believe to be cocaine and cannabis after carrying out searches in West Wick and Worle, Weston-super-Mare.
Neighbourhood officers searched two homes under the Misuse of Drugs Act at around 9am Wednesday 10 December, in the latest action to tackle drug supply in the Bournville and Oldmixon estates.
A 38-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were both arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Colin Batchelor said:
"The substances will now be analysed. If they prove to be Class A and B drugs, as we believe, we will have removed drugs with a potential street value of several thousand pounds from our streets. This operation is part of our new One Team initiative, where officers are working side-by-side with other agencies to make Weston a better place to live."
