Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival

Cambridge Dragon Boat 2013

Join us for some fantastic Dragon Boat Racing in Cambridge this summer.

Dragon boat racing is an ancient Chinese tradition and the fastest growing water activity in Britain today – as well as the most fun!

Up to 10 people paddle each 30 foot boat with a drummer at the front beating time and a helm at the tail steering a straight course.

No previous experience is required, just plenty of team spirit!

About Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT)

The Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival aims to raise as much money as possible for Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT). ACT is the only charity dedicated to making a difference for patients at Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals. Whether it’s treatment for an emergency, acute condition, pregnancy or long term illness, they believe that every patient deserves the highest quality of care available. For the past ten years, and with the help of many generous supporters, they have provided funds so that your local hospitals can offer the very best care day after day, year after year.

In 2015, ACT celebrates its 10th anniversary, and they welcome your support during this very special year. Please contact Carla Brown, Corporate Fundraising Manager, on 01223 217757 or email communityfundraising@addenbrookes.nhs.uk for further information.
