Saturday 7th, BIG Jumble Sale by the 14th Cambridge Scouts at St Luke's Church, Victoria Road. 10:30am - 12pm. Raising funds to deliver the adventure of scouting to 100 young people (girls and boys), aged 6 to 17. It’s also an ideal opportunity for any adults interested in finding out more about becoming involved in making all the fun and adventure happen.

Saturday 7th, Fun and Dance Night at Peterborough District Indoor Bowls Club. 7pm - 8pm. All are welcome to a fund raising night in aid of the Phoenix School for Disabled children. For tickets phone Carol on 07512 011426

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th, "At The Musicals" Flower Festival at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall. 10am - 4pm. A host of themed flower displays, stalls and tombolas organised by the Onwards Group to raise money for Thorpe Hall Hospice. Admission is £4 and is pay on the door.

Monday 9th, An Evening with Bill Turnbull at Comberton Sports & Arts. 7:30pm. The event is hosted by Cambridge Federation of Women's Institutes. Bill is well-known as a presenter on Classic fm; he has also reported from many countries as an international correspondent; he has danced on TV, presented a quiz show, is a passionate beekeeper and also author. From Monday 9th, The Big Bag Challenge at Age UK across Peterborough. Before you pack away your summer wardrobe and make room for the winter woollies, Age UK is encouraging people to declutter and donate their unworn or unwanted clothes to Age UK’s Big Bag Challenge to help support lonely older people. Visit a store in Westgate, Bretton or Werrington to donate today.

Friday 13th, The Rocky Horror Cabaresque show at Radius (above The Solstice). 7:45pm. Cabaresque is presenting a lively night of song and dance numbers from the Rocky Horror Show sprinkled with comedy, burlesque, jive dancing from Electric Jive and Ryan Large making magic. With a cast of both able and disabled performers, this night of naughty mayhem will be raising funds for local Peterborough charity Little Miracles who provide support to families of disabled and terminally ill children. Friday 13th, Debbies Fashion at TLC Cherry Hinton. 2pm. Cherry Hinton Care Home have teamed up with local stylist Gail Morgan and local vendors, for a great fashion event for residents, non-residents and their families, showcasing great pieces and accessories plus style tips.

Monday 16th, Hamba Kamba - Let's Go Together at The Cresset. 1.30pm until 2.15pm. Goldhay Arts will be performing with a live band to provide a brilliant afternoon of entertainment.  They will be working with The African Heritage Centre, Auntie Nyemu and the Banatai Band to present Hamba Kamba, a beautiful African SEN story about working together and not giving up.  There will be live music and dance celebrating diversity during Black History Month. Friday 20th, Fashion Styling Event at TLC Cambridge Manor. 2pm. Celebrate fashion for all ages with a Bonmarché fashion show featuring their latest collection and free style advice with Stylist Mary Blackhurst-Hill. Saturday 21st, Cliff & Elvis Show at Orwell Village Hall. 8pm. All profits from this brilliant evening of entertainment will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, with a donation to Petersfield School. Tickets £10 from Orwell Post Office or from Margaret - 07577 638480.

Saturday 21st, Sing for Life 2017 at The Cresset. 7:30pm. Over 100 specially-recruited women from across the city and beyond will perform live on stage in the Sing for Life 2017 gala charity concert, supporting Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice. Directed by William Prideaux, the concert will mark the end of a pop-up project organised by award-winning women’s choir Peterborough Voices.  Tickets are available here or by phone on 01733 265705.

Saturday 21st, Wirrina Roller Skating Reunion at Werrington Sports Centre. 8pm until 10pm. Relive your memories of nights at the Wirrina with a roller skating reunion. All profits from the event go to Breast Cancer Care. £5 entry with free skate hire.

Sunday 22nd, Apple Day at Cambridge University Botanic Garden. 10am until 4pm. Discover the diversity of apples at the region's biggest Apple Day. There will be a bumper crop of apple-related activities including: apple identification and advice; apple tasting of over thirty varieties; a huge variety of locally produced, delicious edibles for sale as well as family activities; guided Garden seasonal highlight tours; live music; pop-up food trucks and surprise walkabout characters to keep the kids entertained.

Wednesday 25th, Amnesty Bookshop Official Opening on Mill Road, Cambridge. 5pm until 6:30pm. Ali Smith (2017 Man-Booker shortlisted & multi-award-winning Cambridge author) will be opening the shop and saying a few words.

Friday 27th & Saturday 28th, 1940's - 1960's and more Variety Show at St Marks Church Hall, Peterborough. The shows will also include a buffet. Tickets are £8 for Adults £6 for OAPs and £4 for Children - under 5's FREE and limited tickets are available.
