Arrests After St Neots Attack

Four people have been arrested after a man was badly hurt in St Neots last month.

The victim, a 28 year old man, was attacked by a group of around ten people while he was trying to defend his friend.

Members of the group shouted at and abused a woman that the victim was with as he was walking across the car park of Waitrose at around 1:45am on Sunday 14th November.

After the man told them to go away, the group turned on him and attacked hi as he walked through an alleyway between a nearby pub and the High Street.

He was knocked to the ground, then punched and kicked in the head.

He was then taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries.

The four people arrested are all from the St Neots area and have been bailed to return to Huntingdon Police Station on January 19.

They are two men, aged 19 and 20, and two 17-year-old boys.
