A 17 year old boy has been left with injuries to his face after being mugged at knife point in Cambridge.

The boy was sitting at the back of The Ship Inn on Cameron Road with a friend at around 12.30am on Sunday (20th May) when he was approached by two men.

One of the men hit him in the face and demanded he handed over his phone, before knocking him to the ground and holding a knife towards his throat. The boy handed him his phone and the man cycled off with his acquaintance towards Nuns Way.

The man is white and described as around 19, 5’10” with short dark hair. He was wearing dark clothing and used a dark coloured bike.

DC Sam Constable said: "This was an unpleasant experience for the victim and it is vital we trace the man responsible.

"I believe a number of people were in the area at the time of the robbery and would urge them to get in touch.”

Anyone with information should contact DC Constable on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
