Cambridgeshire Police have released CCTV images following the theft of scrap metal worth thousands of pounds in Cambridge.

Police want to speak to the four men [pictured - in the gallery above] in connection with the theft.

According to Cambridgeshire Police, offenders stole a large amount of copper and other metals in Swann Road in Cambridge on 14 August between 12:43am and 1:52am.

The metal was then placed into bags and passed over a wall, before the thieves climbed out of the scrap storage unit.

Police are linking the incident with an attempted theft at the same premises at 1.20am on August 27.

Detective Constable Anna Bye said: "We are keen to trace these four men and would urge anyone who recognises them to call police."

Anyone with any information is asked to call Detective Constable Bye on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
