A 28-year-old woman was working in the Co-Op, High Street, when she was confronted by a man at about 9.30am on Thursday, June 13.

He left the store but then came back again 20 minutes later and assaulted her.

The victim was left with minor injuries.

PC Matt Garner, investigating, said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who recognises this man as he could have information which could assist our inquiry.

The area was quite busy at the time and I would urge anyone who witnessed the assault to call police."

Anyone with any information should call PC Garner on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
