Lakenheath: Man Arrested After Fatal Crash

Police have told Heart they've arrested one man aftera a single vehicle crash in Lakenheath on Saturday.

Police, paramedics and firefighters were called at around 5.45am on Saturday morning to reports of a crash on Undley Road, Undley Common, Lakenheath. 

One man inside the car was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

A second man was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with head injuries. Police say arrested him on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and causing death by dangerous driving.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the road was re-opened at around 1pm on Saturday afternoon.

A man arrested has been bailed pending further enquiries.

The 20 year old man from Cambridgeshire has been bailed to return to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on 18 December 2013.

Collision Investigators are renewing their appeal for witnesses to the single vehicle collision which happened at around 5.45am yesterday (Saturday 19 October) on Undley Road, Beck Row Common, Lakenheath.

A blue Ford Focus collided with a tree and a 22 year old man, who was local to the area and a passenger in the car, died at the scene.
