Murdered Royston Woman Named

Hertfordshire Police have confirmed the woman murdered in Royston earlier this year is 44 year old Svetlana Olsevska.

She was found at a house in Ermine Street, Royston, on the morning of Tuesday 16th March.

A post mortem found she died from internal bleeding caused by injuries to her chest and stomach.

Svetlana, pictured below, leaves behind a 22 year old daughter, a mother and a brother, who all live in the Daugavpils area of Latvia.

She came to work in the UK four years ago.

Svetlana's family describe her as a "loving, devoted mother."

They said: "She will be deeply missed and her tragic death has left a devastating impact on all our lives."

Thomas Navickas, from Ermine Close in Royston, has been charged with murder.

He is currently being held in custody. and will appear at Luton Crown Court on the 7th of June.
