The family of a man, killed in a crash in Soham, describe him as 'a wonderful man'.

68 year old Anthony Pinney [pictured], from Isleham Road in nearby Fordham, died after the motorbike he was riding was involved in a crash with a car.

The collision happened at around 11:25am yesterday (Sunday) on the A142, at the junction with Northfield Road.

A 19 year old man from the St Neots area, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been released on bail, and is due to report back to Police in September.

Mr Pinney's family has released the following tribute:"We are deeply saddened and hurt by the loss of a wonderful man.

Anthony was a retired painter and decorator who was a very keen fisherman and photographer.

He was a quiet man who enjoyed photographing wildlife and spending time with his children and grandson.

We would like to be left alone to grieve at this time."

Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle just prior is asked to contact PC James Thorne on 101.
