Police are looking for a man with links to South Cambridgeshire who has gone missing from a young offenders institute.

18 year old Anthony Gilheany, [pictured - right] who doesn't have a permanent address, was sentenced to eight months for conspiracy to burgle to be served at HMP Cookham Wood in Kent.

He was allowed out on a temporary licence but has absconded.

He has not been seen since 3:45pm on Monday 5th October.

Cambridgeshire Police are now appealing for help from the public to trace him.

Detective Inspector Alan Page said: "Gilheany is currently our number one target in Cambridgeshire. We believe he could be in South Cambridgeshire as he has connections to the county and people will know where he is.

He has a lengthy criminal record and is likely to commit further offences while he remains at large.

I would urge anyone who knows where he is to contact police and anyone caught protecting him will face prosecution."

Anyone with information is asked call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
