Cambridge Christmas Lights Switch On 2017
Heart's proud to start the countdown to Christmas in Cambridge! Find out when the Big Switch On is happening.
The countdown to Christmas is underway which means it is nearly time to light up Cambridge for the festive season.
The city centre switch on is taking place on Sunday 19th November, organised by Cambridge BID and proudly supported by Heart.
This year's event will be delivering a significant message in support of the NSPCC’s ‘Light Up Christmas For Children’ campaign.
NSPCC supporter and former Hollyoaks actress, Katherine Kingsley – who was born and raised in Cambridge - will be officially turning on the Christmas lights in Market Square.
Join Kev & Ros from Heart Breakfast from midday for a day of excellent performances and brilliant live music, before the Big Switch On at approximately 5pm.
Cambridge University’s 20-piece student big band, Fitz Swing, ahead of their appearance at the upcoming Cambridge Jazz Festival.

The Grand Arcade, Lion Yard and The Grafton will additionally be hosting individual activities. The Grand Arcade’s programme of events includes the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts, the Felicita string quartet, John Lewis choir and the Cambridge rock choir.
