Deepings Raft Race 2017

Cast off upon your own raft or just come for a great family day out on Sunday 6th August.
Hundreds of people will be taking part in the raft race, setting off from Deeping St James on the River Wellend.
So, why not gather a team together and join in yourself?
The race takes place on Sunday 6th August, so even if you're not participating, head down and cheer on the teams and enjoy lots of other entertainment near the river in Deeping St James and Market Deeping.
On the Day
The racing starts at Bridge Street in Deeping St James at midday and races to the finish line The Boundary in Market Deeping
The route is the same in previous years with the awards presentation set to take place at 4pm.
The High Street will be filled with stalls and attractions to keep you and your family occupied.
There will also be a cake competition to get your tastebuds ticking and most importantly it’s FREE entry for the public!

Theme
The theme this year is “BRITISH” so why not get creative with your raft designs! Perhaps a Spitfire or even a Black Cab?
Don't forget to get dressed up too. From cricket teams to morris dancers, anything British goes!
The Deepings
The villages of Market Deeping and Deeping St James are nestled in the south Lincolnshire countryside, just north of Peterborough, near the A15.
