Friday 1st November "St Ives Snowman Festival" starts, the town will come alive with Snowmen of all shapes and sizes a great day out for the whole family free entry lots of competitions and fun to be had for more details find us on Face Book or watch out in the local press

Saturday 2nd November Broomstick Ball  fundraising event at 7pm at the Gardiner Memorial Hall, Burwell, Cambs. We have Perfect Crime paying, along with Looney Tunes Disco & a Drummer.  Info on Danny - www.helpmehear.info.

Monday 4th - 9th November craft Week Sue Ryder in Cherry Hinton. Will have demonstrations of knitting and crochet during the week and hot chocolate and refreshments will be available between 9 and 12 noon.

Friday 8th November  7pm (doors 6pm) Fordham Fireworks at Fordham Market Field. Biggest and best event ever with Spectacular firework display, bonfire, live music, fairground rides, a range of food options and a free Guy Competion. Tickets just £3 per person or £10 for a Family 4. Under 5’s free. Free parking on site. Advance tickets available.

Friday 8th November Christmas Shopping Evening 19:00 – 22:00, Netherhall School, Queen Edith’s Way, Cambridge, CB1 8NN. Everyone Welcome! Many stalls including: bags, scarves, nail bar, jewellery, candles, cosmetics, gifts, cupcakes, Christmas cakes & decorations. Refreshments & wine bar.  Entrance 50p. Saturday 9th November Wisbech St Mary School Bonfire & Fireworks Spectacular Gates open at 5.15pm, Bonfire lit at 5.30pm Firework displays at 6.15pm & 7.30pm. £4 Adults £3 Children under 12 years old. Saturday 16th November,10am -3pm, Big Biology Day at Stamford High School. Hands on activities for everyone;model cells and pathogens out of edible parts, write your name in DNA and see the effect of drugs on the heart rate of water fleas. Star guest is Dr Mike Leahy with his ‘Big Red Zoo Bus’, a converted double decker, which he now lives on with his animals.

Sunday 17th November The first Whittlesey Fashion and Living Festival is being held at the Manor Leisure Centre from 10.30am to 4pm. Local business stands will have great festival-only offers and there's free children's play, fashion shows, live music from local acoustic artists and a hog roast. Tuesday 19th November NSPCC AUTUMN FESTIVE FAIR AT ANSTEY HALL, TRUMPINGTON, CAMBRIDGE. Over 30 varied stands  -  Free Parking. Gala Preview Event 6.00 - 9.00 p.m. Ticket price includes glass of fizz.  Opportunity to meet famous Newmarket equestrian artist, Jacquie Jones, who will be painting and auctioning a picture. Ophelia Redpath, children's author and painter, will be signing her children's book 'A Lemur's Tale' and musicians will be playing.  Luxury Hamper and Star Prize Draws will be run during the evening, and there will be lots of time to shop.

Saturday 23rd November Fundraiser. The Allgood School of Dance are having a marathon day of fundraising.  We start with a Christmas Craft Fayre from 12-3, we still have spaces for stallholders  (£5 a pitch) moving on to an evening of entertainment starting at 7pm, involving a show dance, quiz, and dancing.  We need to raise £500 for costumes for all the shows we do for free.  contact Aly on 07851 709021.

Saturday 23rd November Robbie Williams Tribute artist Paul Warren is set to perform in Stamford at a charity night to raise money for the Histiocytosis Trust in memory of Stamford toddler Oliver Scholes, who died in June 2012 of the rare blood disorder.  Robbie will take to the stage at Stamford Masonic Centre.  The event is being organised by Oliver’s Aunty, Sue Jackson.

Saturday 23rd November Shopping Fayre. Fen Drayton Pre-School would like to invite you to kick-start your Christmas shopping at their Shopping Fayre. The event is being held in The Corn Exchange, in the centre of St Ives Cambridgeshire from 10am-2pm. Over 25 local crafts and businesses will be showcasing a wide range of unique gifts. Hot and Cold refreshments are available including homemade cakes. Entry is Free.

Thursday 28th November Can You Believe Your Eyes 19.00-21.00 at Cambridge Science Centre. Our sense of vision is important to our lives, but what if it is damaged or changed? Can brain injuries help us understand more about how our visual system works? Come and join us for a night of altered perceptions and visual illusions to find out about our amazing sense of vision. This event is for adults only (18+)

Saturday 30th November Craft Fair. Heltwate Special School, Bretton will be holding a fund raising Craft Fair on Saturday 30th November 10am-3pm. Free Entrance. Various stalls which include Books, Cakes, Sweets, Cards, Chill's, Candles, Bags, Scarves, Baby Clothes, Handmade Crafts.

Saturday 30th November Fitness Fundraiser is from 1pm-4pm at One Leisure Centre St Ives. Classes are: Armageddon Circuits, Body Combat, Fitsteps HIIT. Cost to participate is £10 and 75% will go to Meningitis Now. To book place just to call leisure centre on 01480 388500. Also on the day there will be cake stall, face painting for children and a raffle where have accumulated some great prizes.  Prize list attached but includes Cambridge United Family Ticket, 4 free drinks at Varsity Hotel Rooftop bar, and Vintage fashion shoot worth £200.  Raffle tickets are £1 a strip and £4 for 5 strips.  All money raise from stalls will go direct to Meningitis Now.Purpose of event is not only have lots of fun and get fit for Xmas raise lots of money for Meningitis Now which has been a really supportive charity to me while I have been recovering.  There will a representative from the charity on the day and hope also raise the awareness of the horrible disease which can strike at any age and any time.

Saturday 30th November Friends of Fordham School Christmas Bazaar 2pm - 4pm. An afternoon of Festive Fun for all! Santa’s Grotto, Crafts, Games, Gifts, Café & Grand Draw. Free entry to this event, where you'll find Christmas shopping, entertainment & refreshments all under one roof!

Saturday 30th November Christmas Market 10am to 2pm Cottenham Community Centre High Street, Cottenham. Lots of stalls including crafts, jewellry, cakes, hand made fudge and more. Free admission why not stay and have a coffee and/or lunch in our coffee shop.
