Start 2018 off on the right foot by registering for one of the UK's fastest-growing half marathons.
If you're looking for a challenge to work towards this year, why not push yourself and sign up now for the Perkins Great Eastern Run?
This year's event is taking place on Sunday 14th October - proudly supported by Heart and organised by Peterborough City Council.
It continues to grow, with last year's event drawing its biggest ever turn out! Already 1,600 people have pre-registered, with many runners choosing to raise sponsorship for causes they support.
The Perkins Great Eastern Run has been officially launched as part of a new City of Festivals programme, with other highlights in Peterborough including the Heritage Festival, Armed Forces Day, Polish Day, Italian Festival, Diwali and the Christmas Festival.
This year's course will once again be mainly flat, running through the historic city centre of Peterborough.
The Perkins Great Eastern Run is an event that the people of Peterborough always get behind, so expect hundreds of spectators to line the course and cheer you on your way!
If the half marathon's not for you, why not enter the Anna's Hope 5k Fun Run? It's a great way for you to raise money for charity and to still feel the roar of the crowd cheering you on.
The charity Anna's Hope was inspired by Anna Olivia Hughes, who tragically died from a brain tumour aged only three years and eight months in 2006. It's dedicated to giving hope to children and young people in the region diagnosed with a brain tumour and helps over 120 children each year. If you are up for a challenge to raise funds for children with a brain tumour then sign up today for the Anna’s Hope 900 Challenge.
