One of Cambridgeshire's oddest traditions gets under way this morning...
8 Arrests In Huntingdon Cold Case Murder Investigation
Seven of the eight people arrested yesterday morning (January 6) in connection with the Andrew Bedford cold case murder have been released on police bail.
Six were released on conditional bail to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on April 7, while the 45-year-old man from Letchworth, Hertfordshire, was bailed to return to the same police station on April 4 and a 56 year-old man from Southampton remains in custody.
Andrew was last seen on September 28, 1990, in Factory Bank, off Great Whyte, Ramsey. Detectives believe he was killed later that evening with a shotgun at a garage which no longer exists in Ramsey called Mongrel Cars.
Operation Ongar was re-launched on April 10 last year by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.
Anyone with information should contact the Major Crime Unit on 01480 422791, email email@example.com , or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111. All information given to police will be dealt with sensitively.
