Attempted Abduction In Haverhill
Police in Haverhill are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was approached by a man in car.
The incident took place between 12.40pm and 12.45pm on Tuesday 17 February, in Cleves Road.
A fifteen-year-old schoolgirl was standing at the junction with Burton End when a man in a car pulled over and asked her if she wanted to get in. Other vehicles then began to queue behind this car, causing him to drive off.
The man is described as white, aged in his mid-forties, with short dark hair and speaking with a local accent. The only description of the car is that it was either white or light blue and may have been an estate.
Officers would like to hear from anyone with information about this incident and in particular anyone who may have been driving one of the vehicles which stopped behind the suspect car.
Calls should be made to PC Matt Egan at Haverhill Police Station on 101 quoting reference HH/15/352, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
