Independent police investigators say officers, who had spoken to a drunk driver in Stamford minutes before he died, were not to blame for his death.
B1050 Crash Victim Named
Cambridgeshire Police have identified the man who was killed in a crash on the B1050 this morning (Friday 13th).
Roland James Carson, known to his friends and family as James, 25, of Augustus Way, Chatteris, suffered fatal head injuries after the car he was driving, a black BMW 320, overturned after it left the road and collided with a tree at about 7.15am, between Chatteris and Somersham.
Traffic Sergeant Chris Clare said: "This is a tragic incident and I’m appealing for people to come forward with information in order for us to establish what exactly happened this morning.”
