Police are appealing for information after a driver failed to stop following a collision with a cyclist in Cambridge.

The incident happened on Monday October 20 at around 9.20am.

The cyclist was riding along Green End Road when she was involved in a collision with a white car, possibly a Ford Fiesta or Vauxhall Corsa.

The woman was thrown from her bike, but the driver of the car failed to stop and made off towards Milton Road.

The cyclist suffered minor injuries.

The driver was described as a man in his early 20s.

PC Chris Hepworth, investigating, said: "I would urge anyone who saw the collision or knows who the driver is to call police.

"It is likely that there will be some damage to the front of the vehicle and I would appeal to anyone who thinks they know who was involved to contact us."

Anyone with any information should call PC Hepworth on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
