Man Arrested After Fatal Crash In Littleport

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a crash in Littleport.

A BMW and a Ford collided on Branch Bank at around 9:45pm on Wednesday (1st June).

A passenger in the BMW, a 20 year old man from Kent, died and another man is in a serious condition at Addenbrooke's Hospital.

The 43-year-old from Ely was arrested yesterday evening after he voluntarily attended Parkside Police Station.

He has been released on bail to return on August 23.

The driver of the Ford and her daughters, aged eight and one, suffered minor injuries.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact the road policing unit on 101, quoting incident 560 of June 1.
