Man Attacked Near Peterborough Left With Broken Nose
Police were called at 10.13pm last night (Tuesday) by the ambulance service, reporting violence in Oundle Road, Woodston.
A 49-year-old man from Peterborough was confronted by two men outside the Nisa store at about 9.50pm.
The offenders, described as white, between 21 and 40, and over six foot, assaulted the victim, causing him to fall to the floor and lose consciousness, as well as suffering a broken nose.
Victim was taken to Peterborough City Hospital by ambulance for treatment but discharged himself an hour or so later.
Scene preservation is currently in place at the junction with George Street.
Three men were present, in addition to the victim, however it is believed only two of the group were involved in the altercation with the victim.
