Man Charged After Man Attacked And Robbed In Peterborough

A man has been charged with robbery after a man in his 70s was attacked, pushed to the ground and had his van stolen in Peterborough.

It happened in Lime Tree Avenue at around 2pm on Tuesday afternoon (17th May).

The victim called police and officers were sent and located the offender 13 minutes later in Bright Street, where he was then arrested on suspicion of robbery.

30 year old Andrew White, who doesn't have a known address, was taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station where he was charged with robbery and remanded to appear at Peterborough Magistrates' Court.

He has since been remanded to appear at the same court on June 15th.
