Man Attacked And Racially Abused By Children In Newmarket

A man has had stones thrown at him and been racially abused by a group of children in Newmarket

It happened as he was walking along Howard De Walden Way at around 7pm last Tuesday evening (12th April).

Three girls and two boys, who are thought to be between 8 and 14 years old, threw stones and shouted racial abused.

They are all described as white and both boys were wearing dark tracksuit type clothing. One of them was short and thin and the other was bigger in build. 

The girls were dressed in leggings or jeans. One of them had blonde hair and another had brown hair. 

Officers are keen to trace the group and are asking for anyone who may have seen what happened or has information that may help to contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting reference 37/27737/16.
