Motorcyclist Dies After Mildenhall Crash

A motorcyclist who was seriously injured during a collision with a car near Mildenhall on Friday has died in hospital.

Police were called to reports of a crash near the Five Ways Roundabout in Barton Mills at around 1.30pm.

The rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital but died later that day.

RAF Lakenheath has confirmed he was an airman at the base.

In a statement, Col. Robert Novotny, 48th Fighter Wing commander said: "It's a sad day for the Liberty Wing, especially for those who knew this Airman, and for his brothers and sisters in the 48th EMS.

"I ask that you join me in keeping this Airman's family, and all those who knew and loved him, in your thoughts and prayers."
