One Man Dies In Chatteris Crash
One man's died following a crash in Chatteris this morning.
Police have confirmed one man has died following a serious collision on the B1050 near the junction with Chatteris Road at Somersham, at about 7.15am this morning (Friday).
A man in his 20s was driving a black BMW 320 when it left the road and collided with a telegraph pole. The driver suffered fatal injuries and died instantly.
Police, fire and ambulance attended and road closures have been put in place in Chatteris Road, Ferry Hill, London Road and Colne Road. They are expected to be in place for the next two hours.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the car in the moments leading up to it are asked to call the roads policing unit on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
