Peterborough Squatters Move Out Of Aqua House

The group of squatters who had set up home and a semi-permanent demonstration in the old Environment Agency building in Peterborough, have left.

A spokesman for Peterborough City Council spokesman said:

"An interim possession order was served to the protestors occupying Aqua House on Thursday 28 May. This gave them 24 hours to leave the building (in East Station Road).

The order has been adhered to by the group and council officers are now securing the property.

The interim possession order means that any group or person trespassing in Aqua House during the next 12 months can be arrested and prosecuted."
