Petrol Station Assault On Driver

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted outside a petrol station in Papworth Everard.

The incident took place just before 4pm on Monday at the Shell garage on the Caxton Gibbet roundabout.

As the 29 year-old victim pulled into the petrol station when a man in a blue Vauxhall Vectra pulled across his path and got out the car. He pulled the victim from his car and assaulted him, along with a female passenger who tried to pull the suspect off the driver.

The offender is described as being in his 30s wearing a tight black t-shirt, blue jeans and black trainers, and has short black hair and stubble and a tattoo on his upper arm.

PC Peter Sharp said:

"The victim and his passenger both sustained minor injuries and have been very shaken up by this.

This is believed to be an isolated incident. Anyone who saw this incident take place should get in touch with us - I'm particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw the blue Vauxhall Vectra in the moments before this incident happened."
