Police Search For Missing Body Parts After Peterborough Suitcase Murder
Detectives investigating the death of a woman whose torso was found in a suitcase are searching for missing body parts.
A 57-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the find in a house in Peterborough on Friday and remains in custody.
Officers were called to a property in Mayor's Walk just after 12.30pm on Friday, when the body was discovered in a suitcase.
A post-mortem examination on the body of the victim, which was missing its head, arms and legs, has begun at Peterborough City Hospital.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: ``Forensic examination of the property is continuing today.
``Detectives are still making inquiries to positively identify the victim and find the missing body parts.
``The murder is being treated as an isolated incident and a dedicated team has been set up to investigate.''
