Teenage Boy 'Seriously Assaulted' In Sutton
A teenage boy has been seriously assaulted in Sutton.
The 16-year-old boy has been left with severe injuries to his head after he was attacked at about 5.30pm yesterday evening (Tuesday) in The Brook.
He was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. Following examination, he received treatment for injuries to his ear. He has since returned to his home in Sutton.
A 13-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man who were arrested in connection with the incident, have now been released on bail.
Officers are treating this as an isolated incident and would urge anyone who witnessed the assault, or has any information, to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Leonne Weeks, 16, who was found dead on a path in Rotherham.
