Teenager Seriously Hurt After Coming Off Bike In St Neots
A teenager's in a serious condition after coming off motorcycle, in St Neots.
Police are appealing for information after a teenage boy has been left with serious injuries.
The 16-year-old was riding his motorcycle in woodland in St Neots at about 5.30pm on Friday evening when the incident happened.
Between Howitts Lane and Howitts Gardens, near to the railway bridge, a length of rope which was tied between two trees caused him to come off his bike, causing serious injuries to his neck and wind pipe.
He was rushed to Addenbrooke's Hospital where he remains in a serious, but stable, condition.
Detective Constable Diane Tomlinson said: "The young man is in a serious condition in hospital and I would like to speak with anyone who may know why the rope was tied to those trees, or who may have put it there.
"Anyone who uses the area, such as dog walkers, who may have information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, should call police."
Anyone with information should contact the Huntingdonshire Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
