War Grave Destroyed In Yaxley
The grave of a British war hero's been destroyed in Yaxley cemetery.
Police in Peterborough say sometime between 5pm on April 16 and 10.30am on April 17 offenders have entered the Dovecote Lane cemetery and caused significant damage.
Sergeant Aaron Murphy said:
"Flowers were pulled up, plant pots broken and the headstone of a war veteran broken in half. This is a despicable crime and those responsible should be brought to justice for this cowardly act."
Anyone with information should contact the Huntingdonshire Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
